Assault case on 15th July, 2010

A Burmese (Chin) refugee name Mrs. Thang Uk, the holder of UNHCR No. 07IND831, residing at J Block, Chanakya Place was unconditionally attacked and beaten up by the 5 local men near Dwarka market while heading to home from the market.

On 15th July, 2010, Mrs. Thang Uk was returning from the market at about 9:30 pm with the vegetables meat he has purchased. While he was walking on the street the five local men standing in the road side near Dwarka market unconditionally attacked him and stoned at him at his nose and got severe injury. The five men altogether attacked the helpless person as he felt down on the ground unconsciously for 2 minutes. When he became conscious he found out that his mobile phone and the vegetables were taken away by the culprits and they have already left the incident place. He then hardly reached home with bare hand and wounds. With the help of the neighbor refugees he approached to the nearby private clinic at Chanakya place and got medical treatment.

Sexual Violence on 26th June, 2010

A terrible sexual violence was followed by painful and serious attacked on 26th June, 2010 to a Chin woman, who was conceiving for the nine months baby, named Mrs. Sung Hlei Cuai, the holder of UNHCR No. 08C00236 at her residence place in Chanakya Place, Uttam Nagar, west Delhi.

On 26th June, 2010 a local man, the participant of the marriage ceremony at the neighbor house came to use the toilet of Mrs. Sung, while Mrs. Sung was talking to the friend by phone. The man inside the toilet come out and started to tease this nine months pregnant woman and offered her Rs. 100 for sex.

People of Stateless

As the world witness about the human rights violations, religious persecutions or restrictions, and political situation under the Burmese ruler (State Peace and Development Council), people cannot find peace and security. This is the place where the truth cannot be prevailed, fair and right judgment cannot be seen and the rights, the freedoms and liberty and the dignity of its citizen had been stolen; the place where people were killed, imprisoned, persecuted unconditionally and destroyed the hopes of the future. The countless numbers of people suffered every day, a lot of people flee for their safeties and some people had been withheld or withdrew their identities and drove them out from the country. Among many victims, a family originated from the blood of British was among the victims and were expelled from the country after withdrawing their identities by the ruling military dictator.
