A Mother of disable attempted to rape publicly

A Burmese (Chin) widow refugee, 36, who is the mother of a disable, was badly assaulted by three local Indians in Sitapuri, New Delhi at local standard time of 8:00 pm on 11-09-2010. Her name is Mrs. Mang Cia, the holder of UNHCR NO. 09-940. While she was returning back from her work at 8:00 P.M, 3 local people followed after her along the road.
One of them caught her from behind while two others were attempting to rape her. She shouted aloud repeatedly. While making her best effort to escape, they all together gave their blows on her face. She was thrown on the ground. Then she was left as the other local people ran toward the incident place. She got severely injured on her face and some left parts of the body. She hardly reached her residence at 8:30 p.m.
“I think that I am the most unlucky widow in the world; can anybody help me to release from this kind of life?” she said to CRC. Now she is in the bed for the injuries. She has neither helper nor sponsor inner and outside of India. Her disable son who is mute is helplessly sitting besides the bed of her injured mother at home.
She is working at a steel factory in Sitapuri, west Delhi, with 2000 Rs per month. She takes care of her son who is mute. She, along with her disable son, fled from Lawng Tlang village, Thantlang Township to India in January 2009 for their safety. Like this incident, repeatedly happening among Burmese refugees in New Delhi. The refugees badly face that Legal protection is not provided to them. CRC has many example cases those had been reported to police stations, but no case has been successfully solved so far.
